Vehicle repair company Mavis Tire Supply LLC, which does business as Mavis Discount Tire, has agreed to pay $215,000 in relief to settle allegations of deceptive practices.

The settlement was filed in the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas last week as an Assurance of Voluntary Compliance.
The settlement comes after investigation by the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office into the company.
Mavis, which operates more than 130 stores in Pennsylvania. It has locations on Lincoln Highway and Woodbourne Road in Middletown Township and Commerce Circle in Bristol Borough.

Mavis, according to the attorney general’s office, must also pay an additional $100,000 if it violates any terms of the agreement.
Authorities alleged that Mavis recommended and charged customers for unneeded maintenance and repairs, billed for services it never performed, and failed to complete vehicle repairs in a skilled or workmanlike manner.

As part of the agreement, Mavis promised to maintain employee training and oversight to ensure future compliance with the law and settlement terms.
The $215,000 total includes $190,000 earmarked as restitution for impacted consumers who have already submitted complaints or who submit supported claims to the attorney general’s office by Jan. 26, 2027.
Consumers who believe they were impacted can file a complaint with the Bureau of Consumer Protection before the Jan. 26, 2027 deadline online, by calling 1-800-441-2555, or by emailing scams@attorneygeneral.gov.

The remaining $25,000 of the settlement covers to the office.
“Consumers put their trust in mechanics and car repair companies to provide reliable advice and services,” Attorney General Sunday said. “This settlement will return money to consumers who paid for services they did not need or want. Anyone who has not yet filed a claim and believes they were a victim of these practices should file a complaint as soon as they can.”
