Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In New Falls Road Crash

A 34-year-old motorcyclist suffered serious injuries Friday evening after a crash with a pickup truck on New Falls Road, police told LevittownNow.com.

Officers responded to the crash near the New Falls Road and Indian Creek Entry intersection at approximately 6 p.m. in the Levittown section of Bristol Township.

According to preliminary information from police, the motorcycle was traveling eastbound on New Falls Road when a Ford pickup truck pulled out from Indian Creek Entry into its path, resulting in the crash.

The Levittown Fairless Hills Rescue Squad responded and transported the injured motorcyclist to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital in Philadelphia for treatment of serious injuries.

The driver of the Ford pickup remained at the site of the crash and is cooperating with officers, police said.

Photos from the MBIP Facebook page showed the badly damaged motorcylce and its pieces on the ground a few feet away from the pickup truck, which suffered serious damage to the driver-side back rear wheel area and bed.

The crash remains under investigation by the Bristol Township Police Department.

New Falls Road remained blocked in the area of the crash as of 8:30 p.m. Friday, according to a reader.

Bristol Township Fire Police assisted with directing traffic at the scene.
