Falls Township’s annual Food Truck Festival and Touch a Truck events will return to Falls Township Community Park on Friday, Sept. 18, and Saturday, Sept. 19.

The Food Truck Festival will open the weekend of events at 6 p.m. Friday. The festival will feature food trucks, live music, children’s activities and a beer garden, with fireworks scheduled for 9 p.m.
Fish Out of Water will provide live music and children can take part in activities including Anywhere Mini Golf.
The beer garden is open to guests 21 and older, with proceeds benefiting Fairless Hill Fire Department.

Food available for purchase Friday will include offerings from Chick-fil-A, Bristol Smokehouse, Kona Ice NJ, Foxy’s Funnel Cakes, Spuddy Buddy Fry Factory, Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck, The Borsch Belt and Barrio Street Eats.
Touch a Truck will take over the park Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m. The event will feature dozens of large trucks, excavators, towing vehicles, emergency response vehicles and other heavy machinery.

The first hour, from 9 to 10 a.m., will be a sensory-friendly quiet hour. During that time, truck operators will not flash their lights or sound their air horns.
The event will continue until 1 p.m. and will include balloon artistry from Myers Designs, bounce houses from Ultimate Party Rentals and Selfie Smiles Photo Booth. Falls Soccer Club will sell food and drinks at the concession stand, while the Bucks County Sheriff’s Office will provide child identification kits.
Touch a Truck gives children an opportunity to learn how vehicles are used in first response, construction, electrical, farming, manufacturing and other fields, organizers said.

The event began as a fundraiser in 2017. Since then, sponsors have contributed more than $160,000, which Falls Township donates to various charities. This year’s proceeds will benefit Pennsbury’s Parent Teacher Organizations.
Organizers said they have incorporated sensory-friendly activities and other community-oriented festivities into the event each year.

Among the vehicles scheduled to appear Saturday are fire and emergency service vehicles, a school bus and Falls Township mowers and trucks.
Waste Management will be on site as part of the company’s “Skip the Bin, Turn Your Batteries In” program and are invited to safely dispose batteries. The company will be encouraging residents to dispose household batteries and help prevent battery-related fires.

The Woodsy Owl Mascot to be available for photo opportunities at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., and 11 a.m.
Both events will be held at Falls Township Community Park at 9050 Mill Creek Road.

If Friday’s activities are impacted by inclement weather, the fireworks will be rescheduled for Saturday at dusk. The other Friday activities will not have a rain date.
If Saturday’s Touch a Truck event is canceled because of inclement weather, it will be held Sunday, Sept. 20, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
