Residents will have chances to clear out unwanted electronics, donate to a local food drive, and access senior services in the coming days.

State Sen. Steve Santarsiero and State Rep. Jim Prokopiak, both Democrats, will host an electronics recycling event on Saturday, Aug. 29, from 10 a.m. to noon. The drop-off collection will take place at Pennsbury High School’s West Campus at 608 South Olds Boulevard.

Those who stop by can recycle a variety of items, including computers, laptops, printers, small appliances, VCRs, random metal items, miscellaneous wires, and anything with a plug.
Organizers said TVs, monitors, and other large appliances will not be accepted.

A food drive benefiting the Bucks County Opportunity Council will take place at the drop-off.
Those planning to attend the Saturday collection are asked to RSVP online through Santarsiero’s website.

On Monday, Aug. 31, Prokopiak will host a free Senior Expo from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Westby Hall at the Fairless Hills Fire Department at 425 Hood Boulevard in Falls Township.

The expo will feature resources on state government services, community programs, and assistance for older adults.
Flu vaccines will be offered on site, and attendees are asked to bring their insurance cards.

Prokopiak represents the 140th Legislative District, which covers Falls Township, Morrisville Borough, Tullytown Borough, and a portion of Middletown Township.
