Middletown Township police officers responded to the single-vehicle crash on North Bucks Town Road near Sesame Place after park security guards discovered a motorcycle crash, according to court papers.
The security personnel reported seeing a man flee the crashed motorcycle on foot toward Oxford Valley Road. They noted that there was blood on the vehicle, police said.

The man — identified as Devon William Napoli, 30, of the Croydon section of Bristol Township — ran a second time but fell while attempting to traverse an obstacle, and officers were able to take him into custody, police said.
Officers found $3,305 in cash on Napoli, along with a set of keys that matched the crashed motorcycle, police said.
A check found the crashed motorcycle had a Maine license plate that did not match its registration, and its vehicle identification number (VIN) confirmed the motorcycle had been reported stolen out of Bristol Borough, police said.

As he was receiving treatment for injuries sustained in the crash and foot pursuit, Napoli reportedly told officers he was intoxicated, had no memory of the events, and knew he “made a mistake.” He also shared concern that the incident would violate his parole, police said.

An officer reported in court papers that he reviewed surveillance footage and interviewed a Sesame Place security guard, which showed Napoli had been operating the motorcycle and walking around the area before the crash, police said.

Napoli has been charged with receiving stolen property, evading arrest or detention, and driving under the influence. After a preliminary arraignment before on-call District Judge Corryn Kronnagel, he was remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility in lieu of 10 percent of $10,000 bail.
In 2022, Napoli pleaded guilty to charges of being an employee of a corrupt organization, contraband, a drug-related offense, and conspiracy stemming from a Bucks County Detectives investigation in Doylestown Township. Court of Common Pleas Judge Brian McGuffin had sentenced him to four to eight years in state prison, with a mandate to comply with all state probation and parole regulations if released.
