A Pennsbury School District building was placed on a security hold Wednesday after people were spotted looking into windows and attempting to enter the building.

Lower Makefield Township police were dispatched to Charles Boehm Middle School at approximately 1:05 p.m. for reports of the suspicious activity.
In a message to parents, Superintendent Dr. Thomas Smith and Principal Stephanie Hultquist wrote that the two people were seen looking through windows and trying to get into to the middle school.
The school office notified police, and the building was immediately placed into a “hold” status.

Students and staff continued with their regular instructional day indoors, but all entry by visitors was barred and no one was allowed to leave the building until the all-clear was given.
“Our staff and students did an excellent job following our established security protocols,” school officials said to parents.

The hold was lifted at 1:17 p.m. after police investigated the scene and determined there was no threat to the school.
The two people located were not from the area and were unsure of the school’s visitor policy.
