A kitchen fire was contained quickly Tuesday morning in Middletown Township’s Levittown section.

Firefighters were called to the 60 block of Four Leaf Road shortly before 11 a.m. for a report of a house fire.
Crews found light smoke and fire on the stove, William Penn Fire Company Chief Dan Diegel said.
The flames were quickly extinguished and contained to the kitchen of the Levitt-built home, Diegel said.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
Diegel said there was smoke throughout the house.

In addition to the William Penn Fire Company, the Fairless Hills Fire Company, Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company, Levittown Fire Company No. 2, Middletown Township Department of Fire and Emergency Services, Penndel Fire Company, and Newportville Fire Company responded to the scene. The Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad stood by.
