Man Shot On New Year’s Eve

A man was shot outside of a Falls Township shopping center on New Year’s Eve.

Around 8:20 p.m. Wednesday, Falls Township police and medics were called to a shopping center in the 200 block of West Trenton Avenue in Morrisville section for a shooting.

A man was shot and transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg, police said.

Police Lt. Chris Clark said preliminary information indicated that the man and his girlfriend were outside of a storefront when another man exited a store and fired a shot.

The shooter fled the area, Clark said.

Police remained at the scene and were investigating.
