The park’s main gate will be locked each night during the overnight hours starting Monday at sundown in response to recent turf damage and vandalism, the Falls Township Parks and Recreation Department announced.

The measure is being implemented to prevent further damage to the park grounds.

“There will be no entering the park until the following morning,” the department stated in a social media post.

Park guards will reopen the facility between 7:30 a.m. and 8 a.m. each day.

The department noted that the procedure will remain in effect “for the time being” and stated it would be notifying the public if and when the change is made.
