

Firefighters contained a blaze involving a three-phase ground transformer late Thursday night in Bristol Township’s Levittown section.

Levittown Fire Company No. 2 reported it was dispatched just after 11 p.m. for reports of a brush fire in the 6000 block of Bristol-Emilie Road.
When the pulled up, crews encountered a fully engulfed three-phase ground transformer unit, according to the fire company.
PECO was requested to the scene to secure the electrical supply before crews could begin putting out the flames.

PECO personnel arrived, confirmed the power was secured, and assisted fire crews.
The fire was contained to the transformer unit, with no extension into any nearby building, the department reported.
