A local man was arrested last week after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend, made death threats, and was linked to a handgun found in a trash can, according to police.

Isaiah Kyvere Dixon, 19, of Bristol Township, was taken into custody by Bristol Township police early Monday, Nov. 24, at 3:10 a.m. outside a business on Mack Drive in the Croydon section of the township.
Police began investigating after the man’s girlfriend reported an incident that occurred Sunday, Nov. 23.
She told police that an argument between them on Nov. 22 led to Dixon allegedly choking her, which stopped when she fought back.

On the morning of Nov. 23, while the couple was driving to work, Dixon allegedly told the woman he would cause her to crash her car. When the woman exited her vehicle, Dixon allegedly dragged her across the ground, punched her in the face, and bit her left pointer finger, police said.
An officer viewed photos of the woman that showed injuries to both eyes, swelling, and scratches around her left eye, police said.

Later on Nov. 23, the woman’s mother reported that she heard Dixon threaten to kill her daughter, damage her car, and tamper with the home’s door, police said.
The family allegedly fled their residence off Mill Creek Road in the township because Dixon said he was coming over.
Dixon reportedly left the woman a voicemail stating he had texted her son, was on his way to take a photograph of her house, and was in possession of a gun.

Minutes later, Dixon allegedly arrived at the home and took actions consistent with popping a tire, police said.
Dixon then texted the woman, claiming he was going to intercept two children coming home from school, police said.

Officers later received a report of shots fired the street where the house sits, with a caller stating a man had left the scene.
Bristol Township police said they later found that Dixon had walked around the family’s house and struck a stop sign multiple times, creating a loud noise that could have been mistaken for gunshots.

Dixon had sent a family member of the woman an Instagram video stating he was on his way with a gun, police said.
After his arrest on Nov. 24, Dixon was taken to the police station for processing.

While there, he called his girlfriend on speakerphone and instructed her to call “Emoney” and tell him to go to “the place where we sleep” and “take the trash out” because it “stunk,” police said.
Finding the call suspicious, officers returned to the business where Dixon was arrested. They searched a trash can and discovered an iPhone, a Glock handgun with an extended magazine inserted, seven rounds in the magazine, and one live round in the chamber, police said.
Dixon was charged in two separate cases related to the incidents.

In the first case, he was charged with firearms not to be carried without a license, simple assault, and possession of a weapon. In the second case, he was charged with terroristic threats, stalking, harassment, and criminal mischief.
He was preliminarily arraigned on both cases before District Judge Michael Gallagher. Dixon was held on 10 percent of $500,000 bail for the first case and 10 percent of $200,000 bail for the second.
