Alaric Dalberg, 64, entered an open guilty plea before Bucks County Court of Common Pleas Judge Wallace Bateman Jr. to charges of stalking, harassment, criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct. Prosecutors did not move forward with a number of similar charges.

At the Justice Center, Bateman sentenced Dalberg to two to 23 months at the Bucks County Correctional Facility and a concurrent 36 months of probation. He was also ordered to pay a $1,000 fine, serve 100 hours of community service, have no contact with victims, and pay $652.52 in restitution to three victims.

The charges stemmed from a pattern of behavior by Dalberg, also known as “Rick,” which occurred between October 2024 and February 2025, and targeted multiple victims in Lower Makefield Township.

According to authorities, investigators found that Dalberg repeatedly threw screws and nails at the vehicle and parking space of a victim who was an employee at McCaffrey’s Food Market. He also scattered nails and screws in the driveways of multiple residents whose properties displayed signs supporting Donald Trump leading up to the 2024 election.

Surveillance video captured Dalberg throwing nails near a victim’s vehicle multiple times between January and February, authorities said.

The investigation traced Dalberg’s vehicle and his McCaffrey’s Food Market store card back to him, police said.

When questioned by police, Dalberg admitted to the acts. He initially denied knowing the victims but later explained that his actions were motivated by his strong dislike for Trump, according to arrest paperwork.

Investigators recovered matching nails from his vehicle, police said.

“It was not an aberration,” the judge stated. “Just because you disagree with their political views or personal views, do you decide to victimize them? It’s completely, unequivocally unacceptable to me.”

District Attorney Jennifer Schorn, a Republican, thanked investigators for their work.

“It is plain and simple, we will not tolerate politically motivated violence or threats of violence, ever,” Schorn said. “People who think they are justified in engaging in criminal activity because the ends justify the means will have a dose of reality if they choose to engage in crimes in Bucks County.”

Dalberg’s attorney wasn’t immediately available for comment.

Lower Makefield Township police reported a number of cases of criminal mischief and vandalism believed to be linked to the 2024 election around that time.
