Ryan Michael Amato, 36, faces charges of dissemination of photo/film of child sex acts/abuse, child sexual abuse material, and criminal use of a communication facility. He was held by Senior District Judge Daniel Finello on 10 percent of $200,000 bail.
Bucks County Detectives began their investigation May 15 after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The tip originated from Microsoft, which reported that one of its users had shared or uploaded suspected child sexual abuse material in April.
The files included one video and one image, which depicted a girl engaged in a sex act, detectives said.

The files were traced to Amato’s home on Wood Street in Bristol Borough, law enforcement said.
Detectives said they then learned that Dropbox had also reported suspected child sexual abuse material linked to an account at the same address.
On July 1, detectives executed a search warrant at the Wood Street home.

Amato was at work in Falls Township at the time, and a detective met with him there, detectives said.
According to court papers, Amato told a detective he was linked to the files.
