Congressman Ro Khanna, a Democrat from California, will hold a town hall meeting Sunday in Bristol Township to discuss the potential impacts of the federal budget under consideration in Washington D.C.

The event, titled โBenefits over Billionaires,โ is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at Heritage Hall along New Falls Road.
Khanna, who grew up in Bucks County and graduated from the Council Rock School District, will take questions from the audience.
The town hall is being organized in conjunction with Indivisible Bucks County.

Khanna, who represents a portion of Silicon Valley, said in a statement that he looked forward to “engaging with the community and answering people’s questions about how Democrats can stand up to the administrationโs attacks and Republican funding cuts.โ
State Sen. Sharif Street, chairman of the Pennsylvania Democratic Party said the event was โessential to our democracyโ and would ensure โthe voices of everyday Pennsylvanians are heard loud and clear.โ

Laura Rose, of Indivisible Bucks County, criticized Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick, a Republican, for not holding town halls. She said Khanna’s appearance would โfill the voidโ left by Fitzpatrick.
State Rep. Jim Prokopiak, a Democrat from Falls Township, is also expected to attend the event.
