Bristol Borough police responded to a report of unauthorized use of a vehicle on March 22 at 7:15 p.m. in the 400 block of Jefferson Avenue.
A woman told an officer she had lent her Dodge Journey to the man several days prior for errands, but he did not return it despite multiple requests, police said.
An officer contacted the man, who stated he believed the continued use of the vehicle was a misunderstanding. He was instructed to return the Dodge by 9 p.m., or it would be considered stolen. The man said he would attempt to return it and ended the call, police said.

When the vehicle was not returned by the deadline, the officer called the man again, but the call went to voicemail, police said.
The Dodge Journey was then entered into a nationwide police database as stolen.
