

Firefighters pulled two people who were pinned in a crashed vehicle on Monday afternoon.

Around 4 p.m., firefighters, medics, and the Pennsylvania State Police were dispatched to westbound I-295 in the area of Trenton Road in Middletown Township for a reported wreck.
The Penndel Fire Company posted on social media that crews arrived to find a multi-vehicle crash, with one vehicle on its side and two people trapped.
Firefighters went to work to stabilize the vehicle on its side and cut open the roof to get access to the two people who were trapped, the fire company posted.

The two people were handed over to the care of medics.
The fire company said it took 10 minutes for crews to extricate the two people who were trapped.

Traffic was slowed in the area due to the crash.
