Just past 6 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to the 2200 block of Fleetwing Drive for a reported house fire.
Firefighters pulled up to find the home with flames coming from the interior and out of the roof, according to Edgely Fire Company Deputy Chief Carl Pierce.
In the hot conditions, firefighters battled the flames and fought to contain flames that were damaging a neighboring dwelling, Pierce said.

The home was destroyed by the intense fire, which caused a smoke plume that could be seen from around the area.
The neighboring home suffered some fire damage, but it was spared the worst, the deputy chief said.
As of 8:15 p.m., the cause of the blaze was under investigation, Bristol Township Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito told LevittownNow.com.
