The incident occurred at approximately 9:58 a.m. last Wednesday when officers responded to a call from a motel employee reporting that a guest had broken a door and lock.

At the time they arrived, officers encountered a 28-year-old Falls Township man who was involved in a trespassing incident at the same motel hours earlier, police said.

Police said the man used a hammer and crowbar to break into the motel room after being denied entry by staff.

The man made threats against the officers once he was taken into custody, police said.

The man allegedly told officers they were the reason officers “get shot” and threatening to harm them outside of work, police said.

During the arrest, officers found suspected Clonazepam, Alprazolam, and methamphetamine, police said.
