Two State Roads To Be Paved In Middletown

As part of stormwater management projects, PennDOT will be conducting paving work in Middletown Township.

According to PennDOT, paving work will take place Monday, August 12, through Friday, August 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Due to the work, a lane closure will be in place onย Maple Avenue/Old Lincoln Highway (Route 213) between Wheeler Way and Woodbourne Road.

On Monday, August 12, through Friday, August 16, from from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a lane closure will be in place onย Highland Avenue between Avenue F and Hulmeville Road.

Drivers have been asked by PennDOT to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur.

The paving work is weather dependent.

This week’s work is a final step in the stormwater management projects in the township.

Throughout the Philadelphia region, PennDOT performed $14.9 million in stormwater management work on more than 90 state roadways.

Highway Materials, Inc., of Flourtown, Montgomery County, is the general contractor on this project, which is financed entirely with state funds.
