Patrol officers were dispatched to the Commons of Fallsington on Makefield Road just after midnight on April 27 for the report of a man threatening people with a handgun.
Once at the scene, officers detained a male who was accused by the two women of being armed, police said.
The situation escalated as two women, aged 19 and 20, both residents of Falls Township, were reportedly yelling and screaming, causing officers to intervene multiple times to calm them, according to police.

Further investigation revealed that there was no handgun present, police said.
Court documents filed last month stated the women had been banging on neighbors’ doors, disturbing several residents late at night, leading up to the call.

Police said the two women had been cursing at a resident who confronted them. The resident reported that she and her son were threatened by the women, one with a Tazer and the other brandishing a knife, which caused her son to hyperventilate from fear.
The two women now face charges of terroristic threats, false reports to incriminate another, disorderly conduct, and harassment.
