We recently revisited Itri Wood Fired in the charming riverside town of Bristol Borough.

A prior visit had left us a bit disappointed due to a long wait and lackluster service. This time, however, the experience could not have been more different. So much so that it turned our skepticism into a wonderful night.
At the host station, there was a brief wait. During which we enjoyed the cozy bar area. The beer selection included an excellent brew from Neshaminy Creek Brewery in Croydon. The cocktail choices received thumbs-up from our group as well.
The menu at Itri may appear small at first glance, but it offers a wide range of tastes. The standout for us was definitely the pizzasโthe Hot Honey Soppressata and The Greek. Both featured a perfectly wood-fired crispiness thatโs hard to forget. They arrived fresh, hot, and satisfying.

We also ventured to try the crispy wings, which were a hit thanks to the house-made sauce and ranch dip.
Service was good despite the restaurant being busy, and the ambiance around us buzzed with other happy diners enjoying their meals and their company.

While I would have preferred slightly more spacious seating, the rustic and clean dรฉcor and design made up for any thought of discomfort.
Itri was founded in summer 2017 by locals Greg and Dana Pezza. Itโs evident that Itri is a labor of love. Named after an Italian town with significance to the family, the couple created a dining spot with thoughtful food and a cozy interior design.
Overall, our latest visit to Itri not only redeemed our past impression but also placed it among the top dining establishments in Bristol Borough, alongside favorites like King George Inn and Jules@Market. Itri is a testament to how a local eatery can evolve and make a elevated pizza that is closer to an entrรฉe than a quick meal.

Over the past two decades, Bristol has transformed its downtown area into a hot spot. In our group, it drew comparisons to locales like Yardley and New Hope. Strolling along Mill Street and the waterfront park, it’s evident that this rejuvenation has made the town as a tourism destination.
A significant advantage of Bristolโs location is its convenient access to Trenton, Philadelphia, Levittown, and Newtown. On our way out of Bristol, we saw the fast SEPTA train pass overhead, which is sure to bring visitors from Philadelphia.
