

Officers and a tactical team were dispatched Sunday to a Middletown Township apartment complex.

The situation began at the Chesterfield Apartment on Veterans Highway (Route 413) when police were alerted to a suicide threat made by a man who lived there, police said.
The tactical team was called to the scene as a precaution, police said.
Aside from the man who had threatened to harm himself, no threats were made to anyone else, police said.

An official stated that officers were unable to make contact with the man Sunday at the apartment.
Officers were eventually able to take the man into custody outside his apartment early Monday morning on an involuntary commitment warrant, police said.

The man was reported to be detained for an emergency mental health evaluation and treatment.
The incident ended without harm to other residents or officers involved.
No charges were filed against the man.
