Pennsbury High School student musicians are hitting a high note on the international stage on a six-day whirlwind tour of France, according to the district.

The Pennsbury High School Instrumental Music Department’s tour started in Normandy. The students visited Omaha Beach, the site of importance during World War II.
In a moving tribute, The Long Orange Line band performed at the Normandy American Cemetery. They offered a homage to the soldiers who fought against the Nazi’s and died on the foreign shores.
As the tour progressed, the Pennsbury High School Concert Band and Pennsbury High School Orchestra showcased their talents in Paris at Le Theatre Rouge, which is located within the Jardin D’Acclimatation amusement park.

The performance was heard by an audience comprising high school students from the American School of Paris. Post-performance, the Pennsbury students and their Parisian counterparts engaged in social activities.
The highlight for many came on Thursday when the Pennsbury Concert Jazz Band took to the stage at Le Bal Blomet, Paris’s oldest jazz club. The hour-long set featured a special appearance by renowned French pianist Johan Farjots.

Thursday’s events concluded with a scenic dinner cruise along the Seine River, which offers a breathtaking view of Paris by night.
Apart from their performances, the students are also attending various musical clinics.
The trip is set to conclude on a high note with a day of fun and excitement at Disneyland Paris.
