Carmella McGonegal, who owns Advisors Mortgage Group, said the event’s goal is to provide prom attire, including dresses, shoes, jewelry, and even makeup, free of charge for those in need.
The prom dress giveaway event, dubbed Project Glam, will take place Sunday at Advisors Mortgage Group at 2 Canals End Road in Bristol Borough from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

McGonegal expressed her excitement and passion for the cause.
“This is something I’ve always wanted to do,” she said.

With the availability of space in her office, she found the perfect venue to host the giveaway.

To amass the collection, McGonegal collaborated with several businesses on Mill Street, including Bristol Antiques Market, Naked Brewing Company, and Opus Elite Real Estate, alongside promoting the event through social media and word of mouth.

Additional contributions came from Helen Irvine and Betty’s Blessed Bus, which collected an array of dresses, jewelry, and makeup.

McGonegal noted the community’s support in donations, which she said is important during times when expenses have soared for many.
The initiative has gathered nearly 1,000 dresses.
