The venue that draws people from around the region will see extensive upgrades following the conclusion of its current production season on June 2, the nonprofit announced on Friday.

The project aims to modernize the theater with state-of-the-art interior enhancements, including improved theatrical sound and lighting systems, new seating, carpeting, aisle railings, and expanded concessions.

The theater was opened in a former movie theater space on Radcliffe Street in Bristol Borough.

The renovation is being made possible by a $2 million grant from the state’s Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP), announced in 2022 by State Sen. Steve Santarsiero and State Rep. Tina Davis, both Democrats.

USA Architects, based in Somerville, New Jersey, and Sweetwater Construction Corp., based in Cranbury, New Jersey, have been selected to carry out the renovation work.
