The advisory was issued Tuesday evening by the Lower Bucks County Joint Municipal Authority (LBCJMA) affects approximately nine service connections near 183 Cobalt Ridge Dr. South in the Cobalt Ridge neighborhood, according to a statement shared by the Middletown Township Department of Fire and Emergency Services.
The precautionary measure was announced after work on a water main in the area.
Authorities have stated that once the maintenance is complete and water supply is restored, residents in the affected area should continue boiling their water for two days or until it is deemed safe for consumption.

The safety of the water will be confirmed through two consecutive days of testing, which must show negative results for total coliform bacteria and compliant chlorine residuals, officials said.
