A new truck repair center will be constructed in a section of Falls Township filled with industrial properties.

The Falls Township Board of Supervisors on Monday evening approved a plan from 6 Steel Road East LLC to construct a 9,000-square-foot truck repair center for a trucking company. The building will be constructed on a 5-acre site.
The 5-acre property is shared with a 9,700-square-foot pet crematorium, which will remain.
The plan calls for a driveway off East Steel Road.

Township officials raised no concerns with the plan, and said they had been working with the trucking company for some time.
The supervisors also approved a new one-year contract with the township’s crossing guards. The deal will include a 5 percent pay hike and an expansion of the bereavement policy to include brother-in-law and sister-in-law.
