A crash involving up to 10 vehicles, including several tractor-trailers, resulted in significant delays on the Pennsylvania Turnpike Thursday morning.

The incident occurred around 6 a.m. near the Route 1 interchange in Bensalem Township.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike cautioned drivers about traffic impacts from the crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

The Nottingham Fire Department posted on social media that emergency crews were at the scene on the Turnpike west of Route 1 in both directions. The post highlighted that multiple vehicles were involved in the accident.

KYW News Radio’s Traffic on The Two’s announced that a truck collided with the center barrier. This impact led to a person becoming trapped inside one of the vehicles.
