Police received word from a delivery company that one of their drivers contacted them and reported feeling suicidal. The company’s GPS on the man’s truck put him in a neighborhood near Neshaminy High School, Feeney said.

The driver was located and transported to a crisis center without incident, Feeney said.

“The school apparently chose to lockdown in an abundance of caution,” the captain reported.

Parents were alerted just after 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday that the high school was placed on lockdown “due to police activity within the community,” Principal Stephen Garstka wrote in a message to parents.

The lockdown was said to be precautionary and was lifted shortly before 11 a.m., according to parents of students.

Law enforcement sources said the police activity was related to a search for a person.
