The dedication ceremony, taking place from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., will be hosted at the new park located at the intersection of Market Street and Wood Street in Bristol Borough.
The centerpiece of the park is a sprawling 1,300-square-foot mural, masterfully crafted by artist Jared Bader.
The new mural intricately depicts the vibrant maritime history of Market Street and its once thriving port, which linked it with numerous ports across the East Coast.

The mural stands as a tribute to the Bristol Borough’s legacy and the unyielding spirit of its people.
Jared Bader is no stranger to community murals. He created a prominent piece gracing the center of Quakertown Borough, among other towns.

Bill Pezza, president of Raising the Bar, told LevittownNow.com earlier this summer that he envisioned the mural and the plaza as catalysts for rejuvenation of the Market Street corridor.
“This is going to cause a ripple effect. You saw what happened on Mill Street and it will spread,” Pezza said.

The project was made possible after the Redevelopment Authority of Bucks County procured the site, previously owned by a local attorney, for an amount slightly under $100,000. The funding came from various sources, with Raising the Bar securing a 99-year lease to oversee and maintain the plaza.

Raising the Bar is in active discussions with the historic Bristol Friends Meeting House and the Masonic Lodge, aiming to give their Market Street properties a refreshed look. Additionally, the Bristol Riverside Theater rehearsal studio will receive an aesthetic update to align with Market Street’s revitalized look, according to Pezza.
