On Tuesday, PennDOT closed Highland Avenue between Avenue F and Hulmeville Road in Middletown Township. The closures will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays through Tuesday, September 19.
Officials said the closure is due to drainage repairs along Highway Avenue.
During the closure, drivers will be directed to use Avenue F, Poplar Street, and Hulmeville Road, according to PennDOT.

Prior to the closure, PennDOT undertook cutting along the roadway, which is a common cut through for those heading to or leaving Neshaminy High School.
Local access will be maintained up to the work zones, and the work is weather dependent.
