Minivan, Ambulance Collide Along Route 13

No life-threatening injuries were reported in a Tuesday afternoon crash between a minivan and an ambulance.

The crash happened around 2:22 p.m. at Route 13 and Edgely Road in Bristol Township.

Police said the ambulance, which belonged to a patient transport service, and minivan collided as the minivan was making a turn from Route 13 onto Edgely Road.

The crash remained under investigation as of Wednesday, and police were awaiting copies of nearby security camera footage.

The collision sent the ambulance off the roadway. It struck a pole and the dinosaur statue at Pet’s Best Friend Veterinary Hospital before ending up on its side.

The Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad rendered aid to the people injured in the crash.
