The incident happened just after 6 p.m. and led to I-295 being blocked in both directions in the area of the overpass.

Around 6:45 p.m., the woman came down onto the overpass and the highway reopened.

The woman didn’t appear injured when she came down, and she spoke with officers and Pennsylvania State Police troopers.

A Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad ambulance waited below the overpass, but it quickly left once the incident ended.

The Penndel Fire Company brought their tower truck to the scene and also a rescue truck. A ladder was brought from the rescue truck, but it was not needed as the woman was off the overpass fence.
