Langhorne Borough and Middletown Township police said the road reopened late in the afternoon hours.

The Bucks County Water and Sewer Authority undertook a project to upgrade sewer pipes beneath Langhorne-Newtown Road (Route 413) from Winchester Avenue in Langhorne Borough to Bridgetown Pike in Middletown Township.

The closure started Wednesday and caused traffic nightmares during the rush hours.
