Kitchen Fire In Condo Quickly Extinguished

It took firefighters only seven minutes to bring a kitchen fire under control in Bristol Township Wednesday morning.

Firefighters from Bristol Township Fire Rescue, Newportville Fire Company, and other companies were dispatched to Jennifer Court in the Crestwood Condo community just after 8 a.m. for a report of a blaze.

Crews arrived and quickly went to work fighting the fire in the kitchen, officials said.

No injuries were reported.

The fire was contained to the kitchen area in one condo, said Bristol Township Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito.

The blaze was determined to be accidental and started on the stove of the unit, Dippolito said.

Crews were on scene after the flames were put down for overhaul of the scene and ventilation.

Dispatch records showed the Newportville Fire Company was assisted at the scene by Bristol Township Fire Rescue and the Levittown No. 2, Third District, and William Penn fire companies.
