U.S. Sen. John Fetterman was released from a Washington D.C. hospital Friday evening.

Joe Calvello, Fetterman’s communications director, said the Fetterman, a Democrat who represents Pennsylvania, will be back at work at the U.S. Senate on Monday.
“Senator John Fetterman was discharged from The George Washington University Hospital. In addition to the CT, CTA, and MRI tests ruling out a stroke, his EEG test results came back normal, with no evidence of seizures. John is looking forward to spending some time with his family and returning to the Senate on Monday,” Calvello said.
The senator was taken to the hospital in Washington D.C. on Wednesday night after feeling light headed while at a political event.

In 2022, Fetterman suffered a stroke and needed emergency surgery while he was campaign and serving as Pennsylvania’s lieutenant governor.
After his life-threatening stroke and the surgery in 2022, it became public that Fetterman had previously-not-reported medical problems and he ignored doctor’s orders.

Post-stroke, Fetterman has said he is working to improve his “auditory processing and speech” as he recovers.
Sen. Bob Casey, a Democrat who represents the state, is currently being treated for prostate cancer.
