Carly Mannon, the community traffic safety program manager at TMA Bucks, was the special guest reader at Pearl S. Buck Elementary School in Levittown, Middletown Township. Mannon read the children’s safety book “Franklin’s Bicycle Helmet” to all first-grade classes.

The book emphasizes the importance of wearing a safety helmet while riding a bicycle and not being influenced by peer pressure. The subject of safety rules has been a recent topic of study for the students, making the book a relevant and educational addition to their curriculum.

According to PennDOT, anyone under the age of 12 must wear a helmet while riding a bicycle, whether they are operating the bike or riding as a passenger.
