Bucks County District Attorney Matt Weintraub held a press conference at the Justice Center in Doylestown Borough late Monday afternoon to announce new information and call for assistance from the public.

A four-door gray Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was the striking vehicle, and images of the pickup truck were released by investigators, police said.

The pickup truck appeared to be a 2013 model and had a 4×4 sticker on both sides of the bed, black rims, and a front vanity license plate. The pickup truck could be missing an oval shaped black plastic trim piece that may cover a fog lamp opening, police said.

Security camera footage showed the two vehicle’s parking. Smith was seen retrieving an object from his vehicle and approaching the pickup truck. At that point, the pickup truck runs over Smith, Weintraub told reporters.

Weintraub said his office is keeping an open mind in their investigation and the incident might have been self-defense. However, he said the pickup truck driver ran over Smith and then left the scene.
