A 26-year-old man was killed after being shot in the head Thursday evening in Morrisville Borough near the border with Falls Township.

Morrisville Borough police were called around 8:45 p.m. to the unit block of Lenora Avenue for multiple reports of a shooting, according to a statement issued by Chief of Police George McClay.
Officers arrived and found a man in a vehicle with gunshot wounds to the head and chest, police said.
As officers from Morrisville Borough and Falls and Lower Makefield townships assisted at the scene, an ambulance rushed to the wounded man to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton. He was later pronounced dead, police said.

The man was identified as Clifton Burgess, 26, police said.
In a note to neighbors and borough officials that was shared with by resident with LevittownNow.com, McClay wrote the shooting appears to be “domestic in nature.”

“The agencies are confident there is no danger to the general public,” the police statement said.
No arrests had been made as of Friday afternoon.
McClay, in the note to neighbors and officials, said “multiple fired cartridges as well as an SUV with multiple gunshot strike marks” were located at the scene.

Officers and the Bucks County Detectives were at the scene late into Thursday night.
