Jeffrey Don Ho Choi, 42, of Ridgefield, New Jersey, pleaded guilty earlier this month to charges of simple assault and disorderly conduct. As part of the negotiated plea, a more serious charge of aggravated assault was changed to simple assault.
Common Pleas Judge Theodore Fritsch sentenced Choi to up to 23 months of time in county prison, but he allowed the time in custody between Choi’s arrest in February and being released on bail in May to count toward the sentence. He also ordered him to served a year of probation following the confinement sentence. Choi has follow all rules and regulations of the Bucks County Adult Probation and Parole Department, pay court costs, have no contact with the victim, and allow his probation to transfer to authorities in New Jersey.
On February 22, Choi attacked a paramedic after being asked to wear a mask at Jefferson Bucks Hospital in Falls Township.
