Firefighters were called to the 100 block of Appletree Drive in Bristol Township’s Levittown section at 9:55 p.m. for a report of a blaze.
Crews arrived and made entry to the home, finding flames in the upstairs bedroom, Levittown Fire Company No. 2 Chief Chris Shortt said.
Firefighters were able to put down the flames in the bedroom quickly, the chief said.

The fire was contained to the bedroom because the homeowners closed all the doors to the residence, showing the spread, Shortt said.
The residents and their pets were able to escape without injury.

Bristol Township Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito said the fire started in the area of a refrigerator in the bedroom.
Dippolito credited working smoke alarms and closing the doors as ensuring the residents escaped the home and limited the spread of the flames.
The Edgely, Falls Township, and Fairless Hills fire companies assisted Levittown No. 2 crews at the scene. The Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad also responded.
