Ambulances rushed multiple people to area trauma centers after a Saturday crash.
The two-vehicle crash happened around 12:15 p.m. at the corner of Jefferson Avenue and Garden Street in Bristol Borough.

A blue BMW and a grey Nissan minivan collided. The front of the BMW had been severely damaged as well as the driver’s side of the Nissan. The roof of the Nissan had been completely removed and laid on the side of Garden Street.
Bristol Borough police Chief Joe Moors said on Saturday evening that the crash remains under investigation and his officers along with the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office Crash Investigation Unit were working to sort out what happened.
Borough police, Pennsylvania State Police, multiple fire companies, and emergency medical technicians from several squads were on the scene. Firefighters extricated injured victims from the vehicles.

There have been rumors swirling that police were chasing the BMW when the crash occurred, but bystanders said there did not appear to be a chase in the seconds leading up to the crash.
Police sources said there was a chase in Lower Bucks County before the crash. It was unclear if the two incidents were connected.

A crime scene was established on Old Route 13 near the intersection with Otter and Mill streets following the crash. It was unclear if the crime scene and crash were connected, but it appeared so.
Moors and Bucks County District Attorney Matt Weintraub were at the crash scene in the early afternoon.
