Elvis Dinozzo, who just goes by Dinozzo during the broadcast, is captain for Team Fluff.

Elvis Dinozzo is owned by Brian and Bonnie Smith, of Falls Township’s Fallsington section.

The basset hound-shih tzu mix was 4 months old when the Puppy Bowl was filmed in Glens Falls, New York last October. Currently, the pup is 9 months old.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, several other pooches from the region are taking part in the Puppy Bowl.

Brian Smith said Elvis Dinozzo was recommended for the show by the rescue and took part in an eight-hour day of filming.

“He did so well and they wanted to do a follow up. He was put in the starting lineup and named captain of the team,” Brian Smith said.

Producers dropped the Elvis portion of his name due to another dog with the same first name. Producers went with just Dinozzo, which comes from the name of a character on the hit CBS show “NCIS.”

“This has been a crazy whirlwind,” Smith said, noting their pup has been invited for other events due to his newfound fame.
