A Bristol Borough man has been charged with breaking down a door and attacking a Bristol Township woman.

Last Monday night, Bristol Township police were called to a residence near Silver Lake Park in Bristol Township for a report of a man who was attempting to get into a woman’s home and he would not leave. She was heard stating “leave me alone” while on the phone with 9-1-1, according to court papers.

An officer arrived and spotted a black car driving off as another officer spoke with the woman, police said.

According to the woman, Sean Leigh Bronner Jr., 32, would not leave her home. He also wouldn’t let her use her phone, so she used her daughter’s phone to contact her family, who arrived at the home.

The woman’s family got Bronner to leave, but he returned an hour later, police said.

The woman relayed Bronner began attempting to gain entry to the home and broke down the locked front door, police said.

Bronner was then alleged to have thrown the woman to the ground and choked her, police said.

Bronner reportedly told the woman she would “see what happens” if she called the police before he left.

An officer reported the woman had a red contusion on her neck and redness around it.

Police said the front door and trim was severely damaged at the home, police said.
