A Langhorne Manor Borough boy who spent the Christmas season in the hospital received a gift from the community on Sunday.
Toby Ellsworth, 13, was diagnosed with leukemia just a few weeks ago. He began chemotherapy days before Christmas and stayed at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia through the past weekend, according his mom, Beth Ellsworth.

Toby’s mom said the Maple Point Middle School student’s sudden diagnosis and immediate treatment delayed the family’s celebration of Christmas.
On Sunday afternoon, fire companies from several area towns, medics, and police agencies paraded past the family’s home on Station Avenue in Langhorne Manor Borough along with schoolmates and friends.
Santa himself made an appearance on the back of a Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company truck and handed Toby gifts.

Beth Ellsworth said Toby wasn’t feeling great and she coaxed him out of the house by telling him the family was getting a meal from Chipotle Mexican Grill.
State Rep. Frank Farry, also the Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company chief, presented Toby with a flag that was flown over the U.S. Capitol by Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick.
A Go Fund Me page has been set up for Toby.
