A man was critically injured after being ejected from his vehicle along I-295 in Middletown Township.
The crash happened just before 1:30 p.m. Friday when the man’s vehicle left the eastbound lanes of I-295, crossed the median, ended up airborne, and rolled before entering the westbound lanes of the highway not far from the Maple Avenue (Route 213) overpass, according to Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company Chief Frank Farry.

Police from several agencies, medics from the Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad, and firefighters from the Langhorne-Middletown and Penndel fire companies along with the Middletown Township Department of Fire and Emergency Management quickly responded and provided aid.
Farry said the man was rushed by the Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad with a police escort to St. Mary Medical Center.
