While on patrol, an officer observed a vehicle pull up to a gas pump and the driver and sole occupant get out of the vehicle. While walking around the parking lot, the driver appeared unsteady on her feet. After approaching the driver, officers could detect the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her breath and person. The woman – a 39-year-old New Jersey resident -admitted that she had consumed alcohol earlier in the evening. A NJ DMV check found that her license was suspended. Charges are pending.

DUI

During a holiday DUI traffic detail, an officer observed a vehicle travelingย on Lincoln Highway at a high rate of speed. After stopping the vehicle, officers made contact with the driver and sole occupant – a 23-year-old man. While speaking with the man, officers could detect the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath and person. The man was asked to participate in field sobriety testing, which he was unable to complete. The man was arrested for DUI and charges are pending the outcome of lab testing.

DUI

An officer was stoppedย for a red light at Lincoln Highway and Durham Road. A vehicle making a left turn from Durham Road made a wide turn, almost striking the police car. The officer turned around and was able to stop the vehicle on Hulmeville Road. Upon approach of the vehicle, the officer identified a as 46-year-old man as the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle. While speaking with the man, the officer observed signs of impairment that indicated that the man was unable to operate the vehicle in a safe manner. The man was asked to perform field sobriety testing, which he was unable to complete. The man was arrested for suspected DUI and charges are pending the outcome of lab testing.

Possession Of A Controlled Substance

During a patrol check of a closed business, officers discovered a subject sitting in the back of the business. As officers approached, the subject made eye contact and then got up to leave. Officers stopped the subject and identified him as a 42-year-old man. While speaking withย the man, he appeared to be nervous and anxious. During a consent search, officers found a white crystal substance and glass pipes inside a cigarette pack.ย The man was arrested for possession and charges are pending the outcome of lab testing.

An officer on patrol on Lincoln Highway observed a vehicle swerve multiple times while driving westbound. The vehicle crossed the lane markers multiple times before swerving back. Officers conducted a traffic stop and discovered two occupants along with the smell of burnt marijuana. The driver – a 21-year-old man – reported that he had smoked earlier in the day before driving the vehicle. The man was asked to participate in field sobriety testing, which he was unable to complete. The passenger did not have a license and the car was towed. Officers recovered suspected marijuana and Xanax from inside the vehicle before it was towed. The drugs will be tested and the man was arrested for suspected DUI. Charges are pending the outcome of lab testing.

While driving on Lincoln Highway in the morning hours, an officer with an automatic license plate reader discovered a vehicle that had a registration plate that was reported stolen out of western Pennsylvania. The officer stopped the car and spoke to the driver – a 30-year-old man. The man indicated he had “one beer” earlier in the evening before driving the vehicle. The man indicated that he had bought the car from the previous owner and that the tags had come with the vehicle. They produced a title for the vehicle, but it wasn’t signed or stamped with a notary seal. While speaking with the man, the officers could detect the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath and person. The man was asked to participate in field sobriety testing, which he was unable to complete. The man was arrested for suspected DUI. His passenger was picked up by a family member as the vehicle was towed. Charges are pending at this time.

An officer conducting an aggressive driving detail observed a black SUV pass him with counterfeitย emissions and inspection stickers. Upon stopping the vehicle, it was found that the driver was operating the vehicle while his license was suspended.ย The man will be sent multiple citations for vehicle code violations. During the investigation, officers asked the female passenger, a 41-year-old woman – for her name and date of birth. She provided a false name and date of birth multiple times. Eventually her name was discovered and she was found to have warrants for her arrest. During a check of her purse, drug paraphernalia was found. She was arrested on the warrants and will be sent a summons to come to court on the paraphernalia.

Officers in the area of Lincoln Highway and Durham Road discovered a vehicle that had an expiration date from June 2019. The vehicle was stopped and the driver and sole occupant – a 28-year-old man – was contacted. While speaking with the man, officers could detect the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath and person. The man was asked to participate in field sobriety testing, which he was unable to complete. The man was arrested for suspected DUI and charges are pending the outcome of lab testing

Possession Of A Controlled Substance

In the area of Durham Road and Lincoln Highway, an officer observed a vehicle with expired emissions and inspection stickers. Upon stopping the vehicle, officers made contact with the driver, a 22-year-old man. During the investigation, it was found that the man did not have a valid license. During a consent search, small baggies of a white power were found along with a straws with more white powder. The man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and charges are pending the outcome of lab testing.

Arrest

An officer in the area of Lincoln Highway and South Bellevue Avenue checked the status of the registration of the vehicle in front of him. The vehicle registration came back to a Ford while being displayed on a Pontiac. The vehicle was stopped and the driver and sole occupant – a 31-year-old woman – was contacted. During the course of the investigation, it was found that she was driving while her license was suspended. It was also discovered that she had an active warrant from Falls Township. The woman was detained while the warrant was checked. Falls Township confirmed the warrant and the woman was arrested. Falls Township police came to the traffic stop and took custody of the man.
