Davis was hired by the Bristol Township School District in 2015 to replace longtime high school leader James Moore.

“My time at Truman helped me grow tremendously as a leader,” said Davis. “We strengthened our relationship with students, parents, and the community at large. I was also privileged to have the opportunity to work with a caring and committed staff.”

Davis was popular at the high school, and the district said he took “student-centered approach with an increased focus on using data to improve student achievement.”

“Students are our business and our number one priority. Continuing to strengthen those relationships are extremely important,” said Davis.

Among the high school’s accomplishments, Davis was proud of the Second Chance Opportunity Program for students at risk of not graduating and the school’s partnership with Estee Lauder, the district said.

“It has been a pleasure and honor working with Principal Lyndell Davis,” said Superintendent Dr. Melanie Gehrens. “He will be missed among the BTSD community and we wish him success as principal in Central Bucks School District and his future endeavors.”

The district will prepare a survey for stakeholders as they look for a new principal.
