A trooper wrote in court papers that he observed a 2019 Ford Edge with South Carolina plates speeding on I-95 south in Bristol Township last Wednesday around 4 p.m. He pulled over the vehicle and encountered Rosario.

The trooper who pulled the traffic stop and a second trooper determined Rosario had a Bucks County warrant and placed him in handcuffs, state police said.

“While outside the vehicle after being placed in handcuffs, the defendant attempted to flee by running into traffic with his hands behind his back. Troopers were able to subdue the defendant, state police said.

While a trooper placed Rosario in a patrol vehicle, the 32-year-old man allegedly bit the trooper on his left arm, causing a bleeding wound.

Rosario was arraigned by on-call District Judge Mark Douple and remanded to the county lockup in lieu of 10 percent of $500,000 bail.
