In Latest Numbers, County Reports 1,366 COVID-19 Recoveries

Bucks County reported 51 new confirmed COVID-19 cases and six deaths on Thursday.

The county said the six deaths were of people between the ages of 74 to 96. All but one person lived in a long-term care center and all had underlying health conditions. One of the deaths happened in April and another two weeks ago, but they were only reported on Thursday.

Of the new cases, the county reported 16 were caught through household contact, 15 were residents of long-term care centers, four were health care workers, two were employees at long-term care centers, and three were due to community spread. The remander were unable to be reached by contact tracers.

The county has reported 4,536 confirmed COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began impacting locally in early March.

As of Thursday night, 126 Bucks Countians were in the hospital with COVID-19. Of that number, 23 were in critical condition on ventilators.
